Elections
Overview
  • General Elections are held once every two years during odd numbered years.
  • Council member terms are staggered: three council members will be elected in 2017; the terms of the mayor and the remaining two council members expire at the end of 2019.
  • Council members are elected at large by the voters of the entire municipality by simple plurality of the votes cast; i.e. if five people run for the two council seats up for election, the two candidates with the highest number of votes are elected.
