Voter Registration Requirements

To vote in Berkely Lake elections, you must be a resident of Berkeley Lake and registered to vote. To register to vote, you must be:

  • a citizen of the United States
  • a legal resident of Georgia
  • at least 17.5 years old (at least 18 to vote)
  • not serving a sentence imposed by the conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
  • not found mentally incompetent by a judge

To determine whether you are already registered to vote, you may visit the My Voter Page on the Secretary of State's website.

If you are not registered, there are several convenient ways to register to vote. Citizens can do any of the following:

  • download, complete and mail a voter registration application;
  • contact the county board of registrars' office or election office, public library, public assistance office, recruitment office, schools and other government offices for a mail-in registration form;
  • register at the time you renew or apply for your driver's license at Department of Motor Vehicle Safety driver's license posts.
